Description
We loved writing and teaching this lesson and hope you and your students enjoy it as well! Children will enjoy singing and playing rhythm instruments to an exciting song about a sleigh ride to Prokofiev’s “Troika;” will be introduced to the musical staff and learn to make and identify chords on the staff; will have lots of fun moving to Vivaldi’s “Winter” and acting out various wintertime activities; will be introduced to basic ear training; and will love experiencing all of this through song, play, movement, listening and art.
Our Early Explorers music classes are an exciting introduction to music for the smallest musician. The goal of this class is music appreciation. Through this class, children are introduced to classical music and composers, sing songs, participate in fun music and movement activities to engage their bodies and minds, learn basic music concepts and terminology, and gain a love and appreciation of music through play!
