We loved writing and teaching this lesson and hope you and your students enjoy it as well! Children will love singing, moving, and going on a musical journey down a river to Smetana’s beautiful orchestral work “The Moldau;” will learn about and experiment with short and long using art, listening, instruments and an edible craft; will be introduced to the solfege scale and will learn some fun songs about rain; and will have fun learning all about long and short in music through song, play, movement, listening and art.
Our Early Explorers music classes are an exciting introduction to music for the smallest musician. The goal of this class is music appreciation. Through this class, children are introduced to classical music and composers, sing songs, participate in fun music and movement activities to engage their bodies and minds, learn basic music concepts and terminology, and gain a love and appreciation of music through play!
