Rhythm Duel + Beat Card Bash

These two rhythm activities are quick and easy to implement in a lesson, adaptable for all ages and levels, and have several different fun ways to play! I created these activities to help my students work on their sense of rhythm and they have been enjoyed by all!

Rhythm Duel is based on the popular rhythm challenges seen on Instagram and Tik Tok. It’s a fun way to practice tapping different rhythms that fit into a beat, and to try out polyrhythms such as 2 against 3 and 3 against 4.

Included are 2 different Rhythm Duel pages. The first includes numbers 1 through 4; the second includes whole notes, half notes, quarter notes and eighth notes.

Beat Card Bash has multiple uses and is a fun way to get your students clapping different rhythms, understanding the difference between beat and rhythm, feeling how different types of notes fit into a beat, sight reading rhythms without stopping, and more.
