Description
Simply print and cut out the practice trackers, then laminate. Students then track their progress with a clothespin as they practice through each step. When laminated, you may also use dry-erase markers to write specific practice instructions for pieces, such as metronome markings.
Practice Trackers encourage practicing in small sections and focus on four different elements of the piece, including fingering, notes, rhythm and expression.
Four different practice trackers are included in the download:
Learning a new piece:Â Elementary Students. Detailed practice instructions to help elementary students learn new pieces at home efficiently and accurately.
Learning a new piece: Intermediate/Advanced Students. Detailed practice instructions to help your more advanced students learn new pieces at home efficiently and accurately.
Find the Clues: Be a Music Detective. Beginning/Pre-Reading Students. Includes detailed practice instructions for students/parents to use at home to learn a new pre-staff notation piece. Encourages young students to look for the “clues” on the page that help them to read the music on their own and figure out how to play the piece.
Simple Practice Tracker. Any Level. Helps the student keep track as they practice a piece by sections, focusing on 4 different important elements of the piece. Could be used for any age and level, but great for younger students.
