Description
After students find and identify the egg, I like to ask an extra question about each symbol. This helps to get them thinking and to help them understand the concepts better. For example, if the student found the bass clef egg, after they have identified it as the bass clef I might ask something like, “can you play some notes on the piano that might be found in the bass clef?” – the student can then play some low notes on the piano. It’s also nice to allow young students to do something for each egg, instead of just naming it – it makes it more hands-on and fun!
