We loved writing and teaching this lesson and hope you and your students enjoy it as well! Children will love learning and singing about a train ride, and moving like a train to Lumbye’s “Copenhagen Steam Railway Galop;” will enjoy playing a fun transportation game to learn to listen to and identify loud and soft in music; and will have fun learning all about loud and soft in music through song, play, movement, listening and art.
Our Early Explorers music classes are an exciting introduction to music for the smallest musician. The goal of this class is music appreciation. Through this class, children are introduced to classical music and composers, sing songs, participate in fun music and movement activities to engage their bodies and minds, learn basic music concepts and terminology, and gain a love and appreciation of music through play!
